Estabamos en el workshop de 141 Boston studios y decidimos hacer algo un poco mas casual, y terminaron en estas fotos tomadas por el fotografo Steve Carrillo.

I had the oportunity to model for the photographer Yucel one more time, but this time we had more time and some ideas of pictures.
We get together to try his new lights that he just bought.. That day I had a some castings and I was thinking in not going since was really far away and I was so tired.. but.. I am really glad I did.. I am very happy with the pictures.
Everything start with a simple black background and then candles, but I will upload those pictures later =) Then he wanted to make the effect of the second picture, was kind of difficult i keep getting stuck lol but was my favorites.

Tuve la oportunidad de modelar una vez mas para el fotografo Yucel y esta vez tuvimos mas tiempo y con varias ideas como pueden ver en las fotos.
Nos reunimos una vez mas por estrenar el nuevo equipo de iluminacion que el fotografo compro, ese dia tuve varios castings.. lo que nunca!! jajjajajaja y pues estaba pensando en no ir por lo cansada, pero me dio mucho gusto de ir por que las fotos valieron la pena, me gustaron mucho..
Todo empezo con un simple fondo negro y como mi vestido tambien era negro decidimos conpensarlo con zapatillas rojas.. luego el puso unas velas, pero esas fotos las subire despues =)
Luego quisimos hacer el efecto de la segunda foto, fue un poco dificil por que me enredaba jajaja y a lo ultimo intentamos moviendo mi cabello como la primera sesion que tuvimos juntos.. y estas son algunas de las fotos =)

La tienda Nicolita y la pagina exploremodeling.com estan haciendo un casting pata buscar a la modelo que representara la coleccion de Otono-Invierno. Tendran un grupo de jurado que escogera a la modelo, pero, tambien la modelo que tenga mas votos pondran su historia en la pagina exploremodeling.com y $500 dlls para la tienda Nicolita, asi que si tienen tiempo les agradeceria que votaran por mi, en mi perfil y desearme mucha suerte.

I was invited to participate in one of the 141 Boston studios workshops, and I am really glad they did, I had so much fun, get to meet some photographers and a lot of good pictures and more to come.
These are pictures from two photographers: Terry Hogan who took the two pictures on the top and the right picture with the dress, and Steve Carrillo took this one and the left picture with the dress.
I worked with Terry Hogan before, for one of the Don Giannatti’s workshops and was really nice get to work together again, you can contact him by his modelmayhem or check his pictures on flickr.

Fui invitada por primera vez a uno de los 141 Boston studios workshops, y estoy muy agradecida por la invitacion, por que me toco conocer a muy buenos fotografos y me la pase muy bien.
Estas fotos fueron tomadas por dos fotografos: Terry Hogan quien tomo las dos fotos de arriba y la foto de la derecha con el vestido, y Steve Carrillo quien tomo esta foto y la de izquierda con el vestido.
Ya habia modelado para Terry Hogan, para uno de los workshops que organiza Don Giannatti y fue muy agradable trabajar para el de nuevo, puedes contactarlo en su pagina de modelmayhem y/o checar sus fotos en flickr.
Es la primera vez que modele para Steve Carrillo y las fotos me gustaron mucho, si quisieras modelar para el puedes mandarle un mail a este correo steve.carrillo@cox.net.
It was really interesting working with Yucel, he is very creative and was helping us with every detail.. plus I am in love with the right picture lol =) ( I remember he picking that picture from his camera, he knew since then..)
This pictures were taken at the salt river at 10 in the morning, was a really hot day, but everything was worth it, as you can see..
I have more pictures of this day by other photographers, I will posted them soon.
Fue muy interesante trabajar con Yucel, es muy creativo y siempre estuvo ayudandonos con cada detalle, aparte de que amo la foto de la derecha (me acuerdo que escogio esa foto desde que la vio en la camara.. jejeje ya sabia desde entonces =)
Estas fotos fueron tomadas en Salt River a las 10am, y fue de los mas calurosos dias en el mes jajaja pero todo valio la pena =)
Tengo mas fotos de los demas fotografos, las subire pronto.
This shoot was taken little more than a year ago by the photographer Evan Romine and the makeup artist Lorri Mitchell, but I wanted to post about it because it have an interesting story.
We first had the idea of doing different color skin photos, and then we think more about the project and then we wanted to do something different of what we always see on photos, and Lorri get to this idea of putting more contrast on the make-up and we love it!!
Then being on the photo shoot Evan wanted to make it more contrast with the black and white backgrounds and that put me on a mood of posing like a good and mean type of looks.
This just means that we suck on planning the photo shoots a head lol just kidding
I love this type of photos shoots that everybody really works like a team, to make interesting pictures, well.. everything was so much fun except when i needed to take my make-up off to go to sleep lol
Esta sesion de fotos fue tomada hace un poco mas de un anio por el fotografo Evan Romine y la maquillista Lorri Mitchell, pero quise escribir sobre esto por que tiene una historia.
Primero tuvimos la idea de hacer una sesion con diferentes tonos de piel y luego pensamos mas sobre la sesion y decidimos que teniamos que hacer algo un poco mas diferente a lo que vemos en fotos en internet jaja, asi que a Lorri se le ocurrio la idea de poner mas colores en el maquillaje como el dorado y el negro que ven en las fotos, y ya empezando la sesion, Evan quiso poner mas contraste en las fotos poniendo fondos blancos y negros, y eso me dio la idea de posar mas como bueno/malo expresiones.
Esto solo significa que somos muy malos para organizar sesiones con tiempo jajaja no se crean, me gusto mucho que todos pusimos nuestra parte en esta sesion y fue muy divertido tambien jeje, bueno en la sesion por que quitarme el maquillaje no fue nada divertido =/
This photo shoot was made for Phoenix Fashion Week by the brand Encolor designed by Yuka Ishiko, Fumiko Katsuta and Eriko Saxon.
It is very interesting that more than designers they are truly artists and I had the honor to meet one of them (Fumiko Katsuta).. They started making shirts for men, then kids and baby and now they want to introduce a girl collection (we should keep an eye for that lol).
What makes these shirts even more special is that they are hand painted and they are one of a kind.
The two shirts that I modeled in the pictures, they were my favorites and Fumiko just painted them the day before the photo shoot for me, they were few of the first women shirts painted by them.. I feel so special!! and soon you will see them on the runway of Phoenix Fashion Week!!
I want to give special thanks to Shannon Campbell for considering me to model for Encolor designs and to have the opportunity to work with the photographer Airi Katsuta (As you can see she is Fumiko’s daughter, one of the designer of Encolor.. wow creative family, that is great, best wishes for them).
Also had the opportunity to have my makeup done by Celestial Williams and I learned a lot of beauty tips as you can read on my past post “Everything behind a beauty shoot”.
I just love my job..
Esta sesion de fotos se hiso especialmente para la presentacion en el Phoenix Fashion Week para la marca Encolor diseniada por Yuka Ishiko, Fumiko Katsuta y Eriko Saxon.
Es muy interesante por que mas que diseniadores son artistas y tuve el gusto de conocer a una de ellas (Fumiko Katsuta).. Ellos empezaron a hacer camisetas para hombres, despues empezaron con la linea para ninios y ahora quieren incluir moda para mujer..
Lo que hace todavia mas especial estas camisetas es que son pintadas a mano y puedes mandar pintar tu disenio. (solo hacen una por disenio)
Las dos blusas que modele en las fotos, fueron mis favoritas y resulto que fueron las dos que Fumiko pinto el dia anterior para mi, fueron de las primeras blusas para mujer que hacen.. me siento especial!! jajajaja y pronto las veran en la pasarela del Phoenix Fashion Week =)
Quiero dar gracias a Shannon Campbell por considerarme para modelar para Encolor y poder trabajar con la fotografa Airi Katsuta (como puedes notar es hija de una de las diseniadoras.. una familia muy creativa jeje)
Tambien tuve el gusto de ser maquillada por Celestial Williams y aprendi mucho sobre cuidados de la piel ese dia gracias a ella jajaja de hecho escribi sobre algunos en “Everything behind a beauty shoot”
The photographer Alex Bussa and makeup artist Lorri Mitchell decided to do this pictures as a project that they had in mind and for our portfolios.
The owner of the magazine Lighting Essentials for photographers saw the pictures and love them, he asked Alex to process some more pictures to publish them on his magazine and write about it.
I am really glad to have participated in this photo shoot, the blue candy photo is the main photo of Alex Bussa, on his business cards and promo cards, and thanks than that magazine published the pictures and the video, I had more opportunities of works with another photographers.
And by the way, yes I am a dork, as you can notice on the video lol and yes you need a lot of patience for a photo shoot like that, wish I do not have a lot, but.. its worth it.
And here are some of the tips of how to prepare yourself for a good everyday makeup or photo shoot, that the makeup artist Celestial Williams recommend us to follow
1. Wash your face twice a day
2. Do not sleep with makeup on
3. Clean your face before makeup
4. Exfoliate your skin once or twice a week
5. Use prime makeup
This are just tips that should be your routine of everyday, but Celestial have more tips listed about how you can do your cheeks to make you look healthy, radiant and have the perfect natural look or how your brows can make a huge difference on how you look.
I though was interesting to know that using a powder brush instead of a blush brush will give you a more even application and that cream blush is perfect for a natural look.
She also wrote on her website some interesting tips on how you can do you your eyes and lips look amazing, wish by the way I am gonna try some tips right now, you should too.
El fotografo Alex Bussa y la maquillista Lorri Mitchell decidieron hacer estas fotos como un projecto que tenian en mente y para nuestros portafolios.
El duenio de la revista Lighting Essentials for photographers vio las fotos y le gustaron tanto que le pidio a Alex que editara mas fotos para publicarlas en su revista y escribir sobre ellas.
Me da mucho gusto a ver participado en esta sesion, por que la foto con el dulce azul es la foto principal de Alex Bussa y todavia la sigue usando en su tarjeta de presentacion y tarjetas de publicidad que manda a clientes, ademas que gracias a la revista y al video tuve muchas oportunidades de sesiones con otros fotografos y llegue a darme a conocer mas.
Que por cierto soy una ninia chiquita en las sesiones no me puedo estar quieta jajaja como se pueden dar cuenta =) y si, si es muy cansado hacer este tipo de fotografia por que tienes que ser muy paciente, pero vale la pena, a mi me encantan.
Queria escribir tambien de algunos consejos para preparar tu piel para maquillaje de todos los dias o para sesion de fotos que la maquillista Celestial Williams escribio para nosotros
1. Limpiar tu cara aunque sea dos veces al dia
2. No dormir con maquillaje
3. Limpiar tu cara antes de maquillarte
4. Exfoliarte la cara de una a dos veces por semana
5. Usar crema para antes del maquillaje
Estos fueron solo algunos consejos para tu rutina de todos los dias, pero Celestial tiene mas consejos de como hacer que tus mejillas luzcan radiantes y hacerte ver lo mas natural posible o de como las cejas pueden hacer cambiar tu estilo totalmente.
Uno de los consejos que mas me llamo la atencion fue de que si usas la brocha para polvo para ponerte el rubor, el rubor te va a quedar mas parejo que con la brocha para rubor.
Ella tambien escribio en su pagina muy interesantes notas sobre como hacer que tus ojos luzcan lo mejor posible y algunos trucos para tus labios tambien, que porcierto ire a probar algunos trucos, tu tambien deberias =)
I had the opportunity of modeling for the photographer Dan Coogan, we did this photo shoot on a water treatment plant as you can see on the middle photo, I remember that smell really funny lol but the pictures were great so that is what we wanted
I wanted to write of this photo shoot, because I just found some behind the scenes that the photographer John Groseclose took that day and I remember how scare I was in the picture below lol you can see it on my face lol
Lorri Mitchell did my make up in this photo shoot and she was really taking care and making sure everything was perfect.
Tuve la oportunidad de modelar para el fotografo Dan Coogan, fuimos a una tratadora de agua como pueden ver en la foto de enmedio jajaja, olia muy feo por cierto jajaja pero bueno valio la pena.
Quise escribir sobre esta sesion por que me encontre con estas fotos detras de escena tomadas por John Groseclose y me acuerdo cuanto miedo tenia en la foto de abajo jajaja lo pueden ver en mi cara jejeje.
Lorri Mitchell me maquillo en esta sesion y estuvo toda la sesion ayudandome y tratando de que todo estuviera perfecto.
